He Yuling is a 2020 graduate student majoring in English translation at the School of Foreign Languages of Dalian University of Technology, who studied here for both her bachelor's and master's degrees under the supervision of Professor Li Xiuying.
During her postgraduate studies, He Yuling always kept in mind the original intention of “learning in DUT”, and her academic performance were consistently in the top 10% of students. At the same time, she actively participated in various national translation competitions, and honed her professional skills. While juggling her studies, she was positively involved in student work: She served as the head of the graduate dance troupe, the school’s deputy secretary of the Graduate Youth League Work Committee, executive chairman of the Graduate Student Association, Youth Committee member of the Graduate 2020 Party branch and secretary of the Youth League Branch and other student cadres. Through her efforts during her term of office, the Graduate Student Association of the School of Foreign Languages won the “Advanced Collective of Graduate Student Association Work” in 2021. He Yuling also won four individual honors in “Organization construction”, “Propaganda ideology”, “Campus culture” and “Social practice” . This achievement is the best in the history of the graduate student association of the School of Foreign Languages.
In addition, He Yuling actively participated in social practice and volunteer service, and was honored with the title of “Excellent International Volunteer” and “Excellent Volunteer.” In the first half of 2020, she joined in the free blood donation activity “Connection to Blood, Tribute to a Century” organized by Dalian Blood Center, and donated a total of 900ml of whole blood and 3 therapeutic quantities of 1500ml platelets. In 2021, she vigorously took part in relevant volunteer activities during the school's fight against the pandemic, and gained the title of “DUT Outstanding Postgraduate Volunteer”. In 2023, she was nominated as “DUT Role Model.”
Today, He Yuling, adhering to the concept of serving the country and giving full play to language advantages to join the new energy research and development industry, has signed a contract with Shenzhen BYD. She is ready to open a new chapter in her life.
